Heat Assault VS Other Methods

Chemical

Who wants unnecessary chemicals in their home? Chemical treatments are not only hazardous to your family, pets and belongings, but they can cause health concerns such as asthma and cancer. As chemicals are being further researched and proven dangerous, less and less options are available. You also may have to throw away furniture after treatment and are responsible for the clear out and disinfecting of your own clothing and materials making chemical treatment extremely demanding in preparation. On top of all of this it is important to mention the environmental issues associated with chemical treatment and all the expensive licensing and training that is necessary with the option.

Electricity

The power available to electrical heaters from a house with 200 amp service is a maximum of 80,000 Btu/h and in apartments with 60 amp service 25,000 Btu/h. This severely limits the amount of heat that can be generated and a very slow remediation is the result meaning bed bugs can escape. Customers will be required to leave their residence for the night adding hotel costs. Often electricians are required to set up these machines. If they come with a generator they will have dangerous 460 volt cables, are noisy, and the operating costs are 3-5 times more than the HEAT ASSAULT for equal heat output.

Propane

Propane heaters can be a serious fire hazard. They may require that a fire marshal be present and in some regions propane heat is not even permitted! The operating costs of this system are very high. It is inefficient because it takes outside air and heats it before blowing it into the target area, rather than recycling it like the HEAT ASSAULT. The process involves all of the combustion fumes going into the building. Ducting limits its use in height and distance. In addition it requires specialized training and often expensive franchise fees.
